Session 1: Implementing the data mesh concept: an engineering approach
Join Teradata CTO Stephen Brobst as he explains how to implement a successful data mesh that enables a data-powered enterprise. An engineering approach provides a practical architecture and governance framework to deliver connectivity across domains while encouraging a decentralized approach to stewardship and implementation. Learn how to balance different design patterns and create separate schemas for each domain to build a data mesh that does justice to both business and technology considerations.
Session 2: Future of data management at Swedbank
In this session, Sead Pašalić, Chief Product Owner, Group BI, CFO Office, will discuss data management at the Swedbank Group. He'll talk about how Swedbank position their data platforms to support the group's data transformation and how cloud native technology will help them consolidate their data warehouses in order to be technologically ready for the organization's transformation to a data mesh setup.
For the second half of this session, Sead will be joined by Stephen Brobst, Chief Technology Officer, Teradata, for a discussion on the future of data management. The discussion will be moderated by David Jerrim, EMEA Director of Ecosystem Architecture, Teradata, and will be open to audience Q&A.
Session 3: Embracing the power of the data fabric
In this session, Sebastian Barreda, Product Director, Teradata, will provide technical updates on Teradata’s ecosystem tools. He'll also share real-world examples of how Teradata customers have successfully leveraged Teradata and third-party tools to extend their data fabric capabilities.
Session 4: Data management success stories: AI-driven data quality and creating a customer 360
In a world of ever-increasing complexity, nearly all organizations are facing challenges with data management. In this session, Andreas Tattersall, Head of EDWH Delivery, Raiffeisen Bank International will explain how RBI and Nationwide Building Society are leveraging Teradata's products and services to gain deeper insights into customers and drive data-driven decision-making. Come learn from your peers who will be sharing their stories via video, live presentation, and discussion.
Session 5: Embracing the modern data stack ecosystem with VantageCloud
Join Adam Tworkiewicz, Developer Advocate, Teradata, for an overview of the exciting and evolving modern data stack along with a live demo. We will explore how new tools for data ingestion, such as Airbyte, and transformation, such as dbt, are making data loading processes agile and transformation processes more reliable and easier to document and maintain. We review how to leverage the scale and performance of VantageCloud in conjunction with these key tools of the modern data stack. Attendees will be provided with insights to improve their data workflows; integrating more data sources; performing transformations with ease; and deriving value in their business intelligence, machine learning, and other analytical processes.
